For those with Texas in their family history, the Unger Memorial Library of Plainview, Texas may offer some great information.
At the top of the landing page you can follow links to Hale County newspaper archives, Hale County Cemetery Records, and other links to maps and historic items of interest. The cemetery database will give you name; dates of birth, death, and marriage; wife's and parent's names; cemetery name and grave location; and funeral home.
About half way down the landing page is a lick titled "Genealogy" that will lead to several digitized books on the history of Hale County as well as other records.
