Riverside Cemetery & Conservancy of Macon, Georgia

The Riverside Cemetery was established in 1887 and has more than 18,000 burials in its 125 acres. If you have Georgia ancestors, it is well worth you time to check out this site. The site offers an excellent user interface as well.

After you fill in the search form, you are given an alphabetic listing of names that meet your criteria. At first the information seems meager, but that is not the case if you explore further. Initially you are given the name, and dates of birth and death. Each name is a hot link. When you click on a name you are taken to another information page that add interment date, spouse or parent, surviving relatives, lot information, image of the headstone, and the location of the plot (complete with GPS coordinates) on an interactive map.
